Dems are pathologically incapable of letting Reps (and Rep voters) own their mistakes. By inserting themselves, Dems co-own the problem, and no one ever learns. Reps keep abusing, and Dems keep "saving" them. Until Dems refuse to play this role in the abuse cycle, they will always be pathetic.

“No Taxation without Representation” is becoming increasingly relevant, again. Of course, DC residents have always lacked voting representation in Congress. Also, Speaker Johnson refuses to seat Adelita Grijalva for Arizona’s 7th Dist. Plus, the Johnson shutdown has effectively closed Congress.

Simply put, Trump handed America's checkbook to Musk, who now gets to decide which bills (e.g., USAID, social security checks, cancer research grants, debt payments) he wants to pay.
