From Russian grey-zone operations to rapid Arctic militarization and resource imperialism, the threat is at Canada’s doorstep. We must rise to confront it. My thoughts for The Toronto Star:

Don’t be complacent Canada, Russia’s imperialism looms at our doorstep
Russia’s official 2035 Arctic Strategy envisions aggressive resource expansion that could collide with Canada’s sovereign interests, maritime rights, and northern security. To back these claims, Russi...

This woman is brilliant. As she states, we need more lawyers in elected positions as they are people who can read and understand the legislation put in front of them. Our current MP is incapable of that.
Grateful to have MP May quote me in 🇨🇦’s House today to state the obvious truth: #BillC2 and little sibling #BillC12 are designed to please President Trump, and nothing else.

Not in keeping with Canadian privacy, values, or national interest.

In doing so, it is also breaking the pledge it made 50 years ago today in the Helsinki Final Act.

Respect for sovereignty, territorial integrity, and every country’s right to choose its alliances.
