I’m not a person that lightly throws around Hitler comparisons. But, all this talk about Greenland and Panama is giving me serious 1939 vibes.

I remember reading that AI poses an extinction threat. Maybe true. But honestly I think the “smart” phone was/is the extinction threat. From distracted driving, to anti-social media, to mass disinformation, to the breakdown of in person social interaction.

Conspiracy theory, theory…It’s comforting, when you are insignificant, occupying an infinitesimal part of time + space, to believe you are “in the know.” Then you aren’t just one of the 8bn people currently living out their 75 or so years on a 4.5bn year old planet in a 14bn year old universe.
