Can’t tell you what this means to me, Jeff. A fellow writer who has decided to read only small press books this year wrote to me and asked me to recommend what I thought were the best in the last ten years. I recommended three. Hashtag was one of them.
This book is, and I don't say this lightly, one of the most rewarding reading experiences of my life.
This early review is a drop of sunshine in an otherwise dark and stormy Jan/Feb. “Stitch takes the reader deeper into a book than any author has ever done before”. Deepest thanks. #books #booksky

“Overhead, a blossoming black had given way to something bluer, like the hide of a slug, or a crowberry . . .”

I am entrenched
against the snow,
visor lowered

I am where I go

Forgetfulness, from Shearsman Books.

In its tragicomic navigation of different forms of loss, Forgetfulness moves from the allegorical to the abstract lyric, through to the surreal-absurd, & finally to a series of splintered memories….
