Hello! I’m looking to connect with other Xpats(loved Twitter & loathe X)

I’m a PNW classical guitarist who started a tech company for music teachers that was acquired by MakeMusic. Want to connect with startup founders, musicians, educators, and kind, thoughtful folks.(guess that makes me woke?) 🌊
An encouragement to middle age white people panning Kendrick… internalize the fact you don’t know his music because you’re old and haven’t been curious about culture since Nirvana released Nevermind and your mom broke your 2 Live Crew cassette with a hammer in front of your friends at a sleepover.

When I left for college, Mom turned my room into her self-help library. All the classics filled my bookshelf. I came home for the holidays & read titles like 7 Habits after my folks went to bed. That’s when my lifelong curiosity for personal growth & developing positive mindset began. Thanks Mom!❤️

If you follow one marketer on social, let it be Amanda...
Nobody wants your one-pager.

The prospect might *say* they want a one-pager.

But what they actually want is all the information to make a buying decision in the least amount of time & effort as possible.

Act accordingly.

I co-founded Fons to help music teachers like myself run their studios and feel confident about business. Over two million lessons have been scheduled and paid for through Fons. Helping thousands of artists achieve sustainable incomes by improving cultural literacy in their communities feels good.

Nine years ago today Huck and I went on the safest walk imaginable. Cannon was a once in a lifetime dog who showed up when the kids were small. I rarely leashed him, he’d stay within a few feet of Huck and Edie anywhere we went. He was a consummate gentleman and babysitter. #germanshepherd

Introduce yourself with your worst feedback from school 👇

I'm Eric and my first grade teacher wrote she wouldn't be surprised if I became president of the US or a surf bum living under the boardwalk but if she had to guess she'd pick the latter 🌊
Introduce yourself with your worst feedback from school 👇

I’m Rex and I’m disrupting the class, because some people actually want to learn.

How do you go about finding your people here?

Here’s a verse of a song I’ve been working on… kind of like this line..

Case was full of tumbled stones.
Patch on his corduroy jeans was worn.
We ran awhile by the old dog fence and I never felt happier.
Never felt lonelier. #songwriter

Who is the last person you noticed being authentically happy, joyful, and fulfilled?

In my experience they aren’t rich, accomplished, or famous… but simple, kind, loving, and present.

The thing I miss most about old Twitter was the cohort of entrepreneurs sharing journeys, insecurities, experiences, wins, losses, roadmaps, marketing, wisdom, and encouragement. Running a business is often difficult and lonely. I look forward to connecting with other SaaS business leaders here!

Any #classicalguitar folks up in here? Let’s talk nail shape and 3M 500 grit open coat sandpaper shall we?🎶

Something to know about me is I regularly said “I love you” to my friends before right wingers said it was weird and wrong to do. I say it, and mean it twice as much now❤️

Hello! Jumping in here. I once loved Twitter,(built a startup from knowledge I gained there) moved to Threads, curious to explore the scene here. I build software that helps musicians dial in their teaching businesses so they can enjoy their creative lives. Love this emoji 🌊
