I met Reverend Jackson at the Earth Day concert back in 2010. He shared nothing but kindness and encouragement to my budding activist self, words that I carry with me to this day. May his memory continue to inspire us to fight for what is right, as his actions did in life. #RIP

He carried Costa Rica’s flag and said he just wanted to “give happiness.”
“In a situation as serious as this, you have to come in with a very positive attitude and a willingness to learn."
