the way people talk about reloaded/revolutions makes it feel like they're the worst movies ever made when in reality, they're both solid, if a little disjointed, 7/10's that bit off a bit much trying to weave an incredibly complex story across different mediums

i love how no silent hill movie can visually Get how to transition to the otherworld without making it absurdly bombastic, like its not some big tearing of reality bro you step in and out of the otherworld pretty regularly and you only realize when shit gets weird and rusty, its not rocket science

silent hill 2 is like a grating depression, whose aura is just oppressive and dank. silent hill 3 is like grating fury, the screech of metal on metal as cars collide, alessas rage is palpable in every facet of the game and the sound design reflects it by overwhelming you with Horrid Noise
