My new report, coauthored with @chrismherbst.bsky.social, looks at how increased ICE activity, especially since President Trump took office, has affected employment outcomes for child care workers and mothers with young children. It is now available. Check it out.
A new Better Life Lab report draws on ICE arrest data and labor market information to understand how the recent escalation in immigration enforcement has impacted employment among child care workers and mothers w/ young children.

This paper finds that COVID-19 vaccine eligibility not only boosted vaccine uptake but also reduced food insufficiency.

They show this operates through improved material well-being and financial optimism.
