Welcome to #PAXUnplugged 2025!

Played Left4dead yesterday night with friends. It’s incredible how the game still feel fresh and fun after all those years and without progression or other meta gaming elements to it.

21 years later, we have a new Vampire the Maquerade Bloodlines.
I consider the original game a pillar of gaming and heavily influenced me as a player and as a person.

Today the sequel is out. I’m cautiously optimistic but my expectations are high. I really hope I won’t be disappointed. #VtMB #WoD

Lately my nights have been:

- scan the sky 🔭
- record and decrypt signals 💾
- listen the signals 🎧🙉
- have a coffe ☕️
- waits what’s that noise 🫣
- let me quickly check outs… OH FUCK
- hide and cower
- clean the base and make the rooms pretty ✨
- sleep when the sun comes out 🌅

Does anyone in #astronomy #astrophotography have any recommendations for a solid transport case for a telescope? I have a Celestron NextStar 130slt and I currently have a soft bag to bring it around, but I’ll need to transport it via plane soon.

I finished watching #AlienEarth and I wish they would have removed a couple of episodes before the season finale and added some after it.

The entire series felt slow, painfully so, with not enough time to even enjoy events unfolding.

I would love to like it. But *sigh* I’m so torn.

It’s incredible how you just need to mute a couple of words to make your feed a better place 😌

What’s the most memorable character you ever seen in a boardgame? To me it’s the Janitor in Nemesis:Lockdown.
While the others are barely surviving the aliens, he is like ehhhh I got the keys of the station, cigarette in mouth. And his special weapon? A pressure washer that SHOO away the aliens. 🤯

Friday night #DeltaGreen session. First time I played online with Roll20, I was worried the group would not “focus” on the game like in real life but it went really well! I also had a real scare jump at a certain point 😱 #TTRPG

Went through the BLACKSAT scenario in #DeltaGreen. Didn’t end very well 😅 but a really fun story!

I’ve been COMPLETELY binge playing #VoicesOfTheVoid these weeks

✅ process signals from deep space
✅ horror an existential dread
✅ “figure all of it out” gameplay
✅ had one of the biggest scare jumps of my life
✅ actually pretty relaxing cleaning and organising the base game

I’m so sad I have to relocate to another city and lose the group of people I have been playing #TTTRPG with. I really started to enjoy their company and experience had became a pillar for keeping me grounded to reality.

The Abstract x Random quadrant contains children’s games and games primarily used for gambling. It also includes games that exist as a way to facilitate socializing like bunco (“a fun dice game with no skill required”)...

Another amazing session of #DeltaGreen. This is an investigation of a “mysterious rescue” of a missing person in a remote natural park. Didn’t finish it yet but it’s already spooky as hell.

Spent the day playing “The Altimer” . Pretty great story, but some design elements that threw me aloof a bit as player. The book is asking to record and track things that are never used in the book at all or in the same paragraph of a game over. I have se sequel so maybe they are needed there? 🤔

This, the Eastern Veil Nebula, is the other half of the supernova remnant that I posted yesterday. The debris expanding over the past 15K years or so, giving the current very large structure. Both are particularly beautiful due to the amount of oxygen (blue).

A solar storm is on the way and may cause a moderate or even strong geomagnetic storm on Monday or Tuesday. Impact is predicted for around 20 UT on September 1, and auroras may be seen further equatorward than usual on Monday and Tuesday night. Here's what you need to know...

Zoinks! by @lorelock.co is a fun pick up and play #TTRPG that flips the script on Scooby-Doo by having the players play as the villains.

Had a great weekend playing #DeltaGreen and #CyberpunkRed .

In cyberpunk, we survived an eco terrorist attack that released a toxic fog across the city, closing ourselves in a bar.

In Delta Green we were supposed to do an easy job cleaning up documents from an old operative… #TTRPG
