For many under Hitler’s regime, the “spell” didn’t break until the war was lost, the atrocities of the Holocaust were revealed, and Germany was in ruins. Even then, some clung to denial or continued to support him, which shows how deeply propaganda and fear can entrench loyalty.

Exactly the kind of history storytelling project that I really want to root for. Solid history, great stories, relevant subject, and the best sort of public history framing, in the most modern, restorative — even activist — sense. Done right, it could matter.
