Used a break in the rain to experiment. Wasn't sure how well it would work since this is fake chrome plastic, but it came up really really nicely. Hard to show in photos but there's a "crust" of oxidation on the left photo that I removed in the right.

Got the car back and it's never felt better. New intake pipe in yellow just for fun. Car now feels alive in the low/mid range outside of OPC mode.
Just glad it's no longer in danger of grenading. Now to just clean it up of mechanic garage nastys :D

Worked on @mitchd03.bsky.social 's RedZed last weekend for presale to get some extra $$$. Didn't go too hard in the correction area as it's very much in need of entire respray, but I think it came out splendidly.

Essence of just in the nick of time...alternatively good job GM for building an engine that does explode immediately when it breaks?

I hate that I love CounterStrike, its the perfect FPS game but its near impossible to play in the low tiers. I'm not good by any means, but I'd like to be matched with others who are just as not good thanks...

I tested out Carpros microfibre/pad cleaner and uh, it appears one of my drying towels bled a little blue into the pads.
This was a very bright yellow....

Today my first paying client, Drewbys Focus! I'd consider this an 85% correction because there were some deeper scratches I wasn't exactly comfortable trying to get out but overally very nice looking paint now.

Considering doing something that might be silly. The Lancer has 180k km on the odo, which is a lot, so it's resale value is basically nil. I drive maybe 500km a month now, so why shouldn't I just....daily the Lancer?
Sell the Astras and just work on making the Lancer as good as it can be?

at this point, I don’t know how you could be a car enthusiast who isn’t an urbanist - walkable neighborhoods, mobility for everyone, trains (just, broadly, the existence of trains, ferries and busses too) and less traffic so my science projects don’t overheat?
