The East Coast has shown up, 2.4 million and counting, with massive turnouts in small towns across the country. Shoutout to the Carolinas, Georgia, and Ohio for showing up strong!

I think one of the hardest things ive faced with my disability is *knowing* I have value inherently in a way that is never reflected externally, in society etc. It takes unwavering faith in yourself that goes unrewarded & is even brought into question over and over.
Disabled people shouldn’t have to prove they matter.

They shouldn’t be forced to justify their existence.

They shouldn’t be treated as burdens for needing medical care or social support.

We have value just as we are.

Disability is not a moral failing. It can & will happen to everyone

"tree equity" is the kind of thing that columnists like to make fun of when why it works is actually instantly apparent to anyone who's ever walked down a street in the summer apnews.com/article/tree...
$75 million was awarded to plant trees in places that badly need them. In anti-DEI push, that's over
The U.S. Forest Service has terminated $75 million awarded to the Arbor Day Foundation to help disadvantaged communities plant trees.

Biodiversity??? 🤦🏻‍♀️
This very clearly shows the incompetence, ignorance, and hatefulness. If AI was used to write the memo, this very clearly shows AI isn’t where we need it to be!!
We got a message from the university to remove any use of the "DEI", "diversity", "equity", or "inclusion" from all public-facing documents. They said that even "biodiversity" is being flagged by the federal government. We live in the dumbest timeline.

I can’t believe people bought that this administration would address any of their needs or fight corruption on their behalf.

What the actual *?! The White House has designated Mr. Musk’s office, the United States DOGE Service, as an entity protected from public records requests and most judicial intervention until at least 2034, by classifying its documents as presidential records.

An American flag built on the backs of Black people...

Black music protesting white political terror in registers they never hear; reminiscent of ancestral spirituals embedded with instructions for runaways

Great read!

As I’ve understood for the past 25 years, the goal should be cradle-to-cradle, not cradle-to-grave.

We relocated to the Rust Belt after living in Pacific NW, and I can’t stress enough that a large portion of the public here doesn’t get it thanks to local industry.

I know our country is on fire. I know Trump is bad and is doing very bad things, and I often address those things with posts and reposts. But if I post a joke about my kid or my dog or a pleasant experience at a diner, don’t scold me for not exclusively talking politics 24/7. Please just ignore me.
