I just learned in Dexed you could right click a knob, switch, or slider to assign it to a MIDI CC message. Also learned you can right click the envelope display to copy/paste the operator's envelope values across operators.

I found it out by complete accident. Never thought to try right clicking...

I'm alive. I promise. I've been doing a lot of learning FM synthesis, walking around, and cooking recently. I haven't actually posted any of my solo jam sessions/improv practice lately and I do plan to change that as my workflow continues to mature.

Okay, so I may spend a bit of time with Dexed for a while. It gets straight to the point and I'm honestly more interested in improving with FM synthesis (and keyboard fingering) more than anything else.

I've also lowkey got my eyes on Bespoke synth when I'm ready to try my hand at sequencing again.

You know what? I made this patch to try my hand at generative stuff that's "not just an lfo running up and down a scale" and not only did I forget the generative stuff, but I think this is technically running up and down a scale. 🫣

At the very least I did address some issues with my selections. 🙃

I feel like I've reached the point where simply studying by reading theory is yielding diminishing returns; my next stage of growth and learning will have to be through exercise and activity.

I have to do more and think less.

An overwhelming need to draw lewds of myself...

VCVRack technical demonstration: Sequencing a clock's multiplier and divisions to generate rhythm; sequencing quantized V/Octs within a chord, Cmaj7(and a 4th for sweetness) to generate melody. Bassline (I think?) is synced to the clock without mults or divs for simplicity.

I'm still new to Rack2.🙂

I swear I'm not better at this due to spensing so much time just stimming instead practicing techniques and learning other modules...

Okay, so there's activity from the synth players and euro rack dudes here and now I'm REALLY motivated to post about my progress and experiments.

Legit, realizing how within reach (modular) synths were after years of open sourced software usage and other computer skill development did improve my self image a noticable amount.

That first pleasant synth sound just refreshes you.
