Great to see the Climate Change Committee (CCC) calling for public figures to “lead by example” on climate change, citing our research.

CCC says leading by example increases public buy-in and behaviour change @thecccuk.bsky.social

🚨So, we've made this new infographic showing how it works...

"A substantial proportion of the articles provides little information about the risks and solutions of climate change..."

Great paper on how climate activists are portrayed in the media in Germany 🇩🇪
How are climate activist groups @fridaysforfuture.bsky.social
and @letztegeneration.bsky.social portrayed in the media?

We used ChatGPT and frequency analysis on all news articles in major German newspapers to answer this question. @jmbh.bsky.social

"Not everyone needs to change their lifestyle to the same extent.

Those with the largest carbon footprints – typically the wealthiest people – need to make the most significant changes."

Brilliant piece here by @lwhitmarsh.bsky.social and @samhampton.bsky.social
Keir Starmer says the UK can decarbonise without disruption – that’s neither true nor helpful
It’s the government’s job to make it easier and cheaper for people to change their lives.

Love the intervention class descriptions. In other fields (I'm thinking about #travelDemandManagement) the definitions are not sufficiently nuanced and there is just too much overlap. Thanks 👍🏼
So, what are other behavior change interventions?

A few years ago, we published a simple catalog of interventions inspired by behavioral science research.

The catalog distinguishes between individual and population levels and the mechanisms through which behavior is influenced. 📚
