A low growl emerged from the serpent as everything else sped into oblivion. With everything turning dark, the only sources of light that remained strong were become the two entities faced at odds with one another.
“And you think you won’t lose your life? Fool!”
“And you think you won’t lose your life? Fool!”
Another barrier erected itself around him as everything else was disappearing, being worn and broken down into nothing. All that remained was the ground where he stood as everything else shifted and eroded. The harrowing screams of those sentenced to their untimely demise plagued the skies.

Those words, void of any emotion or inflection were unsettling. A direct attack was dispelled before Entropos’ very eyes, made to look like nothing. That was one thing, but those words on top of it struck like daggers.
It provided a defense strong enough to stave off the attack. In any other situation, at any other point in time before this encounter, he would ask himself how he had managed such a feat.
He didn’t even bother to try making sense of it, accepting it for what it was as he stood unfazed.
