School nurse called to let me know that my child got “clonked” in the face with a metal water bottle. My kid was fine and, apparently, refused to tell anyone who did it because “it was an accident and I don’t want them to get in trouble.” In kindergarten and already knows not to snitch. #proudmom

I want an app where I can type in my grocery list and the stores I’m willing to go to (ex Publix, Walmart) and it splits the list to tell me what I should buy from each for the best savings.

Reminder that GME is significantly funded through Medicare and Medicaid
Is there a way in which cutting Medicaid and Medicare doesn’t shutter every hospital in America?

Voting for Trump because you’re “pro-life” only to have him cut Medicaid and Medicare is a devastating FAFO but, let’s be real, you’re not actually pro-life.

Despite the allergist reassuring me otherwise, infants can, indeed, have anaphylactic reactions to foods. The more you know…

I’ve had the same personality since high school. Junior year I wrote a paper on Kevorkian in support of physician assisted suicide using “House of God” as my literary fiction source. For my physical project, I replaced “sodium” with “potassium” on a bag of saline and hung it, swinging ominously.

If you wanted to cut waste, fraud, and abuse, you would empower the inspectors general.

If you wanted more waste, fraud, and abuse, you would fire them.

I went head-to-head with a specialist this week. LinkedIn sent me an email teasing their premium version that said “[specialist] and 4 others viewed your profile. Upgrade to premium for details.” LOL

There’s a strong probability that I leave emergency medicine in the next few months. It feels selfish and also right.

Anaphylaxis does not require angioedema. Anaphylaxis means involvement of two or more systems. That could mean rash and vomiting, nausea and shortness of breath, hypotension and cough, etc. Anyway, give the epi.
If you’re treating a kid for an allergic reaction and you consider epi for even a moment, just give it. Epi first, epi fast.

Looking for a pediatric dietician to assist me with resources regarding best snacks for school-aged children. Our school currently has a very limited approved list of snacks which includes “fruit snacks” and “teddy grahams” but excludes any source of protein such as cheese, meats, etc.
