This reasoning is so disingenuous. There are two very clearly indicated ‘historical facts’ on the passport, “place of birth” and “date of birth”. The passport says “sex” not “sex at birth”, so it seems pretty clear that it is not intended to be a historical fact.

Nor are respondents likely to prevail in arguing that the
State Department acted arbitrarily and capriciously by declining
to depart from Presidential rules that Congress expressly
required it to follow. See 22 U.S. C. §211a.
For these reasons, the Government is likely to succeed on
the merits. And the District Court's grant of class-wide relief
enjoins enforcement of an Executive Branch policy with
foreign affairs implications concerning a Government document.
In light of the foregoing, the Government will

dress in a costume themed to your talk every time you present at a conference. If what you are talking about is too abstract to be made into a costume then that topic is too abstract to work on.

The q&a during the feminist caucus committee panel at the ASA annual meeting was so productive. Increasingly convinced that trans philosophy has a lot to teach philosophy of fashion. So much so that I wrote 1,500 words on the plane home!

this was such a great and fun panel! there is so much really cool stuff happening in the philosophy of extreme music and it's really neat to see ideas develop in these discussions that have much larger aesthetic or philosophical implications. very lucky to be involved!
