1994: THE SCREAM PAINTING IS STOLEN - "The Scream" by Norwegian painter Edvard Munch (1893 pastel version) is stolen in Oslo. It's found almost 3 mo later, undamaged at a hotel in Asgardstrand, abt 40 miles south of Oslo.
