Now that summer is over my basil plants are all growing like crazy. Despite 2 heavy harvests it’s still growing into a huge bush. I have made and frozen enough pesto and basil butter to last me years and so I’m letting it flower out. I’m going to cut it back once more then it goes into the garage.

You have to zoom in, and I didn’t crop because too much of interest is going on all over but sooo many different animal tracks around this drying up mud puddle. Near the Gila River. (Gila is pronounced Heela for you crazy out of towners) dont get me started on “ocotillo”. Cottonwood leaves.
