I feel lucky! I think I’ve gone up there 7 or 8 times and I only sort of saw it before. It was in a tree with thick branches and it had its back to me so I didn’t count that.

Finally! The drive to Madera Canyon south of Tucson paid off today. My first Coppery-tailed trogan. Formerly referred to as the Elegant Trogan here in AZ. 🪶

Sunny skies and the Dr’s tube of Effudex has been keeping me inside. Binge watching Yellowjackets has not been time used wisely, sorry to report.

Season 3 has a talking llama.

It’s giving “What if Gilligan’s Island had been scored with early music from The Cult”

Average bill for the *last* state…

I’m torn on this because despite similar educational requirements between DVMs and MDs veterinary doctors make a lot less.

Hopefully some of that PE revenue is going to the vets.

Average vet bill for the state that I lived in: $300

Average vet bill in Arizona: (excluding the $13,000 bill from a 2-night stay in an emergency hospital in Tucson) $1,300

It’s hard to find a vet that isn’t owned by private equity.

Good morning Tucson!

I think that taking photos of agave is kind of cheating or maybe a shortcut. They are naturally interesting. They have natural color variation, a variety of textures, they invoke an emotional / fear response and they have very interesting natural patterns.

They can be as painful as they appear.
