I've just published an #article #blog on @linkedin.com about my peculiar life as 'Auntie Emma', the administrator for East 15's Southend campus. It was a lovely job I did for over five years and saw off a great many challenges - and some superstars in the making.

Head over to my Instagram @emmamarns_author to find out what I thought of these, and many more! #BookSky

I am starting my PhD in Creative Writing at The University of Essex NEXT WEEK! I am so excited. Unbelievably, this is my fourth time enrolling at a university (BA, PGDip, MPhil completed!) and it has been quite a journey - read all about it.

We had quite the weekend in Brighton as my husband took part in the London To Brighton OFF ROAD 2025! He raised a spectacular £635 for @thebhf.bsky.social British Heart Foundation and did incredibly well. Well done Mr Marns! 🚵‍♂️🏅❤️

Are you on Goodreads? THE WALK has some lovely ratings and reviews (and that one two-star one, which is fine!😆) and I'd love a few more! It's also a great community to meet fellow book-enthusiasts and get / give recommendations for great reads.
