A soul-filling, learning & inspiring day yesterday with some of the WRKWLL collective (in person & online🦉).

I feel lucky to work with such an incredible, diverse group of people bringing a depth & breadth of skills, knowledge & lived experiences together to have meaningful impact on social change.

The International Olympic Committee is set to ban trans and intersex women from competition. This is despite the fact that for 20 years, the IOC has allowed trans athletes to compete and only 1 has ever competed and none have ever won a medal.

We @connectedbydata.org are planning a conference next year (early March, in Manchester) about people, power and participation in (public sector) data and AI.

If you were coming, who would you really like to hear from as a keynote speaker to kick off the day?

“But you don’t look ill”.

@jgluck.bsky.social writes about living long term with cancer. Much of cancer is popular narratives. Living long term with it is a prime example - you don’t hear these stories.

I cannot ditto this article enough. Incredible & a bit emotional.

#Archive or Family History or #Genealogy folks (or anyone). I’ve come into possession of a small number of papers (inc Will & death certificate) & a photo of someone who died in London (mother lived in Exmouth). No family relation to me (loose connection).

What can I respectfully do with them?

Did you know that, for every £100 donated to charity across the UK each year, just 10p reaches LGBT+ non-profits? That's simply not enough. We can't stand by and watch these vital organisations struggle and go unheard. We need you, more than ever, to help us change this heart-breaking reality.

A wonderful long weekend, for @tabisw.bsky.social’s birthday, staying in our own castle (technically folly). We find we’re well suited to it 😉

Barely got out of our onesies other than for an incredible dinner at Acleaf. Delicious food and attentive experience.

I worked from a London library today. In the 4 hours I was there I chatted with a chap that has nowhere to live, “paid it forward” at the cafe and loaned my phone charger to a chap for whom English wasn’t a first language.

Libraries are such important civic spaces. My heart is full. #LoveLibraries

A wonderful weekend in the North West starting with Crosby Parkrun, followed by brunch with good friends in “Emily’s at Formby’s”.

An evening of Strictly with family before a sub-hour finish at the Wirral 10K and seeing the Jane Tomlinson Appeal Run For All team too. #RunningIsFunning
