Dear DCC Family,

We write to you with broken hearts. Disability Justice leader, MacArthur Genius, and a dear friend of the DCC passed away last night. Take care of yourself and each other. We leave you with her final words from our grand opening, "Thank you and Free Palestine.”

A good resource on alttext for accessible comics (for those who don’t know, I’ve been part of a project on making comics accessible the past 5 years, and my collaborator @emilybeitiks.bsky.social just shared w/me to add to our resource page) lastcallmedia.com/blog/accessi...
Accessible Comics???
Comics are a unique and visually rich way to communicate. Can they be made accessible?

I love how comics can help us wrap our heads around complex concepts. This new comic by @nsousanis.bsky.social makes it painfully clear how long it took to build due process and how rapidly it’s being dismantled. And bonus points Nick for good alt text!
New comic: on the origins of Due Process, how fundamental it is to our very notion of freedom, and how we all must stand up for the rights for any one of us to preserve liberty for all of us. Alt-text, notes/process & printable version on my site, appreciate sharing spinweaveandcut.com/due-process/
