A page from my kids graphic novel, Skeleanor the Decomposer. Skeleanor is a skeleton that jumps from playing the violin to the organ to her own rib cage all while telling her bat friend how much she wants to play in a band. The bat is sitting in a box lamenting about the lack of moths in the clothing she's holding. An ink illustration for a mock-up of the novel, Dealing with Dragons by Patricia C. Wrede. Two princesses, Cimorene and Alianora, laugh in a messy library. The text at the bottom of the page reads, "The was too much for either of them, and they both collapsed into laughter." An ink and watercolor illustration divided into panels. In the main panel 3 little girls have a summer tea party in a garden. They make tea out of squished watermelon and cookies out of mud and watermelon seeds. In the panel below is a view of their imagination as fancy ladies at dusk. These are bordered by them being invited over during the day and then running inside for dinner at night. A colorful marker, pen, and colored pencil illustration. Two kids hold their breath and sit in the bottom of a large bath with two mermaids. They're surrounded by fish and game pieces such as puzzle pieces and checkers. One mermaid says "Go fish!" as one kid's cards float away. Ducks float on top of the water. In the background, the kids' mom says, "5-minute warning! Are you kids listening?" The text in the top corner reads, "For some reason Claudia didn't look interested in my drain dinner. She crossed her arms. 'If I stayed in the bath forever I couldn't have friends over.' 'Sure you could!' I said, thinking quickly. 'You just have to invite the right people! Mermaids, for example' Claudia loved mermaids. She uncrossed her arms."

A zine I made as an example for comics class

Another illustration shows her treating her nail as a series of pins, holding a seam shut as her beleaguered mother hand sews. Page 5. One day when she was camping, Josephine had a great idea. Illustration shows Josephine sitting on a log in front of a fire. Another panel shows a marshmallow now on the tip of her fingernail. Page 6. Josephine tries to roast her marshmallow but it catches fire. Her nail follows, turning black and curling up. Josephine stares dumbstruck at her ruined nail. The end.

I've been watching what's happening in Minneapolis and I don't know what to say. Two American citizens killed by ICE in three weeks. Countless more who are not citizens. People afraid to leave their homes.

My old icon is from 5 or 6 years ago...wanted to have something fresh for 2026!

Today, the UN officially designated Israel’s assault on Gaza as a genocide.

As a party to the Genocide Convention, the U.S. has a legal obligation to obey our own laws, stop weapons sales to Israel, and demand a permanent ceasefire.

End the genocide. Ceasefire now.
257. The Commission recommends that all Member States: (a) Employ all means reasonably available to them to prevent the commission of genocide in the Gaza Strip; (b) Cease the transfer of arms and other equipment or items, including jet fuel, to the State of Israel or third States where there is reason to suspect their use in military operations that have involved or could involve the commission of genocide; (c) Ensure individuals and corporations in their territories and within their jurisdiction are not involved in the commission of genocide, aiding and assisting the commission of genocide or incitement to commit genocide and investigate and prosecute those who may be implicated in these crimes under international law; (d) Facilitate the investigations and domestic proceedings and take action (including imposing sanctions) against the State of Israel and against individuals or corporations that are involved in or facilitating the commission of genocide or incitement to commit genocide; (e) Cooperate with the investigation of the Office of the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court. 258. The Commission recommends that the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court: (a) Examine, within its continuing investigation in the Situation in the State of Palestine, the crime of genocide for amendment to existing arrest warrants and addition to future application for arrest warrants; (b) Examine the involvement of officials mentioned in this report for inclusion as those most responsible for international crimes committed in the occupied Palestinian territory.

Authors for Immigrant Rights We, the undersigned authors and illustrators, stand in solidarity with immigrants the nation over and refuse to accept these rampant constitutional abuses by ICE as the new norm. Immigrants are our parents, spouses, and friends. Immigrants are our communities. Many of us are immigrants ourselves. We are all deeply connected to this issue and want our voices heard on the matter. For the past decade, the publishing world has made laudable strides in the diversity and inclusion of immigrant stories. Publishers and booksellers have helped to foster spaces where readers can develop awareness and empathy for migrant rights and history; spaces where young readers can finally discover their own stories on the library shelf. The current administration is trying to tear this progress away. To publishers and booksellers: we call on you to continue your work. Stand behind your inclusive stories and marginalized authors, loudly and without hesitation. Help these stories reach the readers who need them most. To our readers: we ask that you join us in taking up small tasks to support the immigrants in our lives. Call your representatives and ask what they are doing to protect their communities from ICE overreach. Donate to local immigrant aid organizations. Get involved with your local library and school board and speak up for books centering marginalized perspectives. Let’s unite to write a new, better story for all the people in this country. Stupid Danny Phantom comics that made it into the Going Ghost zine lol
A very loosely draw comic in pen. Ember sings her standard song as Danny covers his ears with his hands. "Tucker! Sam!" he yells, "Shut your ears!" Tucker and Sam are dancing to the music. "But it slaps," Sam says back. "Yeah, Danny make your voice slap better and we'll listen to you" Tucker adds. Skulker looks down at Danny and says, "I'm just saying you could do better, Danny. Like why be a whiny 14 year old when you could be a sickass lamp?" "Thanks Skulker", Danny says, looking annoyed.
