A poem from my teen. At 3, she said that they weren't solely a girl. I didn't overreact or ignore. I loved, I listened, didn't impose anything and educated myself. At 11, after reaching out to LGBTQ help lines, she came out as fluid in her gender identity and sexuality. My brave child, I love you.🫶

I had vivid dreams of my best friend last night. I'm so thankful for them, for the temporary belief that she's ok and the chance to hang out even if just on dreamland... But the crushing weight of her absence upon waking up and realizing she's gone is so heavy. 💔

I walked over 8km today. I need to get my long distance walking back under control. Its pretty much my work out. It's been too easy to depend on public transportation since we moved here.

Ready for my family to get back home. Even the cats are restless. I think that because my kids are teenagers and independent, I just don't have that need for breaks anymore. The house is too quiet without them.

If your parents have ever paid for your braces, for the love of all that's holy, thank them. I've just finally given away the last of my whole paycheck to the orthodontist. Of course, we chose to do it and I know we won't regret it but my kid better be thankful. 🤪

My husband happens to have a week off during our kids March Break and he's taking them to visit his parents. I'm already planning every single day/evening alone. 🤪 I predict a lot of non kid friendly movies and shows, fast food delivery and not cleaning one thing until the day before they come back

We're snowed in, I'm the only one in this house that has to venture out tomorrow. As I'm heading to bed, my husband and our 12 year old daughter are deep in conversations about friends and school and activities and I feel so thankful and blessed. Those kids have a good dad, and we have good kids.

Joy loves to jump on my shoulders. From the ground, in one hop, she's on my shoulders and hangs out there or uses me as a step ladder. I thought it was cute until she attempted it as I walked out of the shower this morning. Claws on my bare skin. 😳😫 It's a good thing she's cute.
