I had a lovely day learning about hedgelaying today, run by CPRE and Mike Reed at Barrs Court Moated Park near Longwell Green, Bristol.

This is part of their #HedgerowHeroes project to create or restore 10 km of hedgerow habitat in the region before the end of 2026.

Hedgehog found in central Bristol! I've never seen one here before, I'm so happy they're here!

This adorable litte one was sadly trapped in a gulley area near mine, but I was able to catch it and give water and cat food. A vet was able to see it, gave it clean bill of health and it was released!

Time to pack away the butterfly clipboard for 2025! 🦋📋

I recently did my last shift of butterfly monitoring at Old Sneed Park Nature Reserve (BS9) for the year - it's been so much fun 🥰.

Lovely insects, cool data AND nice walks!
