My friends, I am extremely sorry.
I just bought trainers.
Tonight, I shall - with malice of forethought - pair them with tracksuit trousers and go outside.
To a yoga class.
I apologise unreservedly for this near-unforgivable lapse in good taste and general decorum.
Thoughts and prayers, please.

Day off, so doing some hobby stuff. Not too much swearing on this lighting kit from #LightMyBricks , or at least not much so far.

Watched 'Predator Badlands' last night. Enjoyed it. Felt like if the Na'vi were just one individual, and weren't a bit boring.

Tonight, my cup holding hand believes my mouth starts 10cm forward from where it actually is.

"Ah, lunch!", says I. "Hmmm... What the lounge would look like if I moved...?", I begin to idly wonder.
"I'll handle this!", announces my #ADHD brain, forcing all other concerns aside.
- One hour later -
"Done!", declares ADHD brain, skipping off.
"Why am I sore and still hungry?", I wonder.
Aaargh!

We were all told to beware the rise of a rogue, nuclear armed state. We were told it would be Iran, Iraq, or some obscure little country somewhere. Turns out the rogue state, with its failing economy and insane leadership casually threatening the world, was the one whispering the warnings.

Had to send off my red UK passport, as it was due to expire too close to a travel date. Properly sad and annoyed that I have to get the pro-Putin, post-Brexit one now. Not a fan of this timeline.

I’m looking for horror / dystopian / sci-fi book cover artists!

I’m particularly interested in queer, BIPOC, or disabled artists.

Feel free to drop recommendations, links, examples and so on. I’m not actively commissioning right now, just researching for the (hopefully near) future! #writing #art

On the walk to the doctor's yesterday morning, saw an otter, a seal, various water birds, and possibly a dolphin.

My view in Berwick upon Tweed, seeing in the New Year happily in the freezing cold with my daughter, Erin, and my wonderful girlfriend, Edina. Got given champagne by the lovely couple in the photo. On the way back to the house, we got grabbed by strangers for a chorus of Auld Lang Whatsit. Fab!

Two #Turkeyman minis for Christmas Eve! Don't say I'm not good to you.
The mini is from @badsquiddogames.bsky.social , is stupidly popular, and also very wonderfully awful.

I'm on volume 4 of another re-read of Spike Milligan's funny, heartbreaking war memoirs. Well worth a go. You'll wonder how the heck wars ever work. Stupid bloody idea. Anyway, start with 'Adolf Hitler - My Part In His Downfall' and be sure to never watch the utterly awful film adaptation.
