Editor & writer, loving being back at the helm of Walk magazine for the Ramblers. Former ed of The Teacher & primary governor. Author of Choosing Childcare. IVF mum. Night owl 🦉
25+ years as an editor, and it's still exciting to think of my hot-off-the-press magazines going into people's homes. Look at gorgeous Barney collecting his owner's spring edition of Walk from the doormat 🐶
The spring edition of Walk magazine is landing on members’ doormats this week!

Have you got your copy yet? 🥾🌷

Looks like our newest member, Barney is already keen to check out 'The joys of family rambles' 😅🐶😍

Utterly gutted that I can't now see Jane Austen improv comedy Austentatious @austenimpro.bsky.social this Sunday, as my Austen-loving bestie Polly has pneumonia. Our tickets are with the Arts Theatre box office for resale, in case anyone else fancies a festive outing to this sold-out West End show.

After 25+ years in magazines, today I published my first digital-only mag. It works on phone, tablet & computer &, being the Ramblers' mag, it's full of gorgeous photography, uplifting stories & inspiration for adventures. Plus I got to interview Bill Bailey 🤩 Do have a browse: walk.ramblers.org.uk

I could always rely on Dan Wuori's posts about early childhood development to bring joy & fascination to my timeline, even as Xitter got shitter. Delighted he's on Bluesky too. Well worth a follow, whether you're an early years professional, a parent, or just a human being. @danwuori.bsky.social
Your baby may be able to sit upright without assistance as early as 6 months, but, like most skills, this is one perfected over time.

This happy little guy is almost there. It’s hard when Dad has more jokes than you have balance and core strength!

Chose the blue-skyiest photo I could find for my first profile pic here, taken on a glorious October ramble along the Thames Path at Runnymede.
