You know, it may not be #IwtV, but I'm quite enjoying #Talamasca for what it is! This week's episode is a fun little bloody caper, lol.

I thought there was a set number of ways to do a fight scene, and that I had seen them all. Predator Badlands proved me wrong. #predatorbadlands

ICYMI #PredatorBadlands is the kind of audacious, whip-smart blockbuster filmmaking that we desperately need these days, where the unique vision of someone who obviously loves making movies is allowed to make the damn film.

PREDATOR: BADLANDS Review: The Unlikely Return of the Buddy Action Flick
Dan Trachtenberg's new film deepens the Yautja lore as well as the franchise's themes. With PREDATOR: BADLANDS, he's three for three.

Between #TheGirlWhoStoleTime, #PredatorBadlands, and now the start of #Pluribus — I have had an OUTSTANDING day of media consumption.

What I've realized after this re-watch of the #Alien and #Predator movies is that I tend to like the Alien movies themselves a bit more, artistically, but I am drawn to the yautja over the xenomorphs as a species... Probably because of their code of honor. 🤔

Forgot to say ,I watched GDT’s Frankenstein too and I think it’s a sin against cinema that they don’t release it more widely in theaters. Also it took me back to the play with Cumberbatch & Miller. Same vibes with more gore .

Never thought I'd see the whole US and beyond become so invested in who became the mayor of NYC. ✊😆

You know, after a rewatch, I'm going to come out in defense of the #AvP movies. There's a lot of good in there (ideas, moments, casting), admittedlywrapped inside some mediocre realization. But actually, I kind of have a soft spot for them both. 😁

Saw Del Toro's #Frankenstein last night! I'm so glad I saw it in the theater, but also so glad I can re-watch it in just a few days. There was SO MUCH to take in.

But it is stunning and beautiful, inside and out. (Minor nitpick: the Volume was very Volumey.)

Lots of feels in my theater at the end.

#Bugonia was great, especially the photography and the acting. A deeply grounded take.

...But I might prefer the zaniness of the original #SaveTheGreenPlanet from Korea. 🤔

They do actually complement each other quite well!

#Fucktoys (or #Ftoys if you want to be a prude about it) is one of the most original films I have ever seen.

It won't be for everyone, but if it's in your wheelhouse, strap in for a wild and very satisfying cinematic experience.

Listen, as someone who likes to watch movies late at night...

Can we implement a TV setting that allows me to turn the volume up high enough to hear the dialog, but have the TV cap the decibel limit so that sudden gunfire, explosions, or screaming doesn't wake up the poor neighbors? 😅🤔

#Talamasca doesn't soar anywhere near the heights of #IwtV (I never expected it to), but after two episodes I'm enjoying it enough that I'm more than happy to see where this season is going.

Good or no, Talamasca really captured Anne Rice’s spirit. Guy is constantly surrounded by more intriguing women who I know will disappear or not make it to the next book/episode. Just as she would’ve wanted.

Random question for the Stephen King fans...

I know all his stuff is supposed to be in the same universe, more or less. But the similarity of the "haunted" house in #IT and the one Jake uses as a portal in #TheDrawingOfTheThree ( #TheDarkTower ) is really striking me.

Are they the same house? 🤔
