The district court’s block of Trump’s national guard deployment in Chicago is upheld by 7th Court of Appeals: “political opposition is not rebellion.” Truth!

Federal district courts can most effectively block Trump’s misuse of power by holding to the facts. There is no “danger of rebellion” in Chicago or in Portland. Trump lies — and that should override any judicial deference to a president on appeal.

Republican Gov. Kevin Stitt of Oklahoma just criticized deployment of Texas National Guard to Illinois as a violation of his beliefs in federalism and states’ rights. “Oklahomans would lose their mind if Pritzker in Illinois sent troops down to Oklahoma.” About time a Republican spoke up about this!
