I have found that much of republican voters' complaining tends to be "how dare I have to contribute to help those less fortunate." As is often the case, it's fine when they receive assistance as in their minds. They are the only ones worthy of it.

It has been my experience that fraud and corruption is a bug with democrats. The number who are arrested for it is certainly lower than republican, and no one defends them.
With republicans it's a feature. The reason they run for office isn't to help anyone but themselves.
