It's important to remember that when an exporter makes a choice to absorb part of a tariff in the form of lower profits, it effectively only lowers the Tariff rate that Americans pay. The exporters' portion does not, and cannot, find its way into the United States Treasury under any circumstances.

Rivers like to meander but, since the early 1900s, almost all rivers in West TN run in straight channelized lines. As a result Middle Fork Bottoms State Park had to close several times a year due to flooding. Removing some levees and letting the water meander, stopped this & restored the ecosystem.
