SEATTLE!!!
We’ve now taken the lead by 91 votes! 🤯 This thing is certainly not over! Over 1,000 ballots have been challenged, so if you haven’t tracked your ballot yet get on it! Our trusty volunteers have been working hard to "cure" ballots so they count! We're so close!

91 votes separate the two mayoral candidates in Seattle, but Katie Wilson has pulled ahead of incumbent Bruce Harrell and is now in the lead.

To the contrary, I have a hard time thinking of many authoritarian leaders who were ousted *in the absence of* mass protests. There were often accompanying factors like a contested election, elite divisions, etc. But no mass protests at all? Tough to recall any such cases.

Why is “access” to this regime so important to reporters given the body of work of its leader(s) and the way they gaslight through lies and obfuscation?
Credible outlets should be able to narrate exactly what the regime is up to without needing access to propaganda.

Consider the possibility that the Trump White House WANTS this fight. Wants journalists to act like opponents instead of observers. If the entire press pool skipped a Trump photo op in solidarity with The AP, wouldn't the White House welcome Breitbart and One America News to take their places?
And, are you or your colleagues boycotting covering the WH as a protest?
