Today’s TfL multi-year deal is vital for ensuring our tubes, buses and roads keep delivering for London. I’ll be looking at the detail carefully.

No funds for Bakerloo and DLR extensions is a huge disappointment to many in South London in need of better transport links.

Impressive work @ellybakeram.bsky.social @carolinerussell.bsky.social 👏👏👏

The failure to regulate uneccessary and dangerous supersized SUVs at a national & international level is leaving city leaders with little choice but to take a stand and do all they can to end #carspreading on our streets.
MOTION AGREED: As the size of UK cars continues to grow, we are calling for tighter limits on passenger vehicle size and bonnet height and higher parking charges for SUVs. www.london.gov.uk/who-we-are/w...

Really enjoyed talking to taxi and private hire drivers’ reps this morning - so important to hear from those at the sharp end of transport policy.

Thanks to @gmb.org.uk, @iwgbunion.bsky.social, @adcunion.bsky.social and @unitetheunion.bsky.social, the LTDA, LCDC and UCG for their engagement!

Buses are the backbone of our transport network. They’re accessible, affordable, and reach places the Tube can’t - we must ensure they work for Londoners!

I welcome today’s call from the @ldntravelwatch.bsky.social’s Bus Alliance for urgent action.

Black Cabs could be extinct in 20 years without government support.

As costs to run & purchase a taxi rise, financial assistance continues to fall.

Last week I spoke to Jeremy Kyle about @TfL’s moves to reign in dockless e-bike operators, and the need for new regulation from the Government.

It’s essential that new forms of transport do not obstruct Londoners on pavements or when accessing public transport.

A tremendously busy and productive time at the London Assembly last week.

I’m most proud of leading the transport committee in our roundtable speaking to 12 deaf and disabled Londoners about their experiences.

Thank you to Inclusion London for all their work on this - we hope to do it justice!

Do Reform care about public transport? I asked @mayoroflondon.bsky.social today.

Despite posturing at #MQT, they have no policies on concessions for older Londoners, public transport affordability or the awful service on private rail.

Reform are not on the side of ordinary Londoners.
