Tangential but related? capitalism's core concept is that people are inherently lazy, will only work if rewarded, and then, only barely.

I think we have ample evidence to show this is blatant b/s. Humans are naturally productive! Just not generally in ways that capitalism can take advantage of.

"Eppur si muove" is Italian for "And yet it moves".

It's a phrase made famous by accounts of Galileo Galilei's comments after he was forced by the Inquisition to recant his heretical findings in 1633 that the Earth moved around the Sun & was not the center of all being, perfect & motionless.

Hello Dr. Foley!

Question for you: if I wanted to include a single-paged PDF in my next paper, to provide the most relevant information to science communicators as quickly as possible, what would you like to see in that PDF??

The problem with scientists (like Savage), versus true science communicators, is that scientists are totally intellectually honest.

.. what questions does this PDF answer for you?

In other words, what information would you hope to find in the PDF, and what features should it have to make it easier for you to share the information in the paper?

#scicomm Question for the science communicators of BlueSky.

Let's say you're reading a peer reviewed paper and trying to digest it, but you discover it has a link to a one-page PDF online that summarizes the paper for the benefit of you and other science communicators.

My question is...
