Hello everyone! Let me introduce myself 🙋🏼‍♀️

I am from Greece 🇬🇷 but I live in Belgium🇧🇪I am a joint PhD researcher at the Vrije Universiteit Brussels and Université libre de Bruxelles. For my PhD I investigate how cremation was performed in past societies using infrared and isotope analyses.
🎉 Thrilled to share our new paper just published in @PLOSONE!

In this study we explored how weather & seasonality impact cremation conditions using experimental archaeology, FTIR-ATR, and isotope analysis.

And another great starter pack from @vcampanacho.bsky.social is this great list of biological anthropologists

From ancient funerary ritual to human evolution to, more broadly, what can ancient skeletal remains tell us about our ancestors?
