Just FYI, my aunt passed away on Palm Sunday, which according to Catholic lore meant she got to go straight to Heaven. The Pope passed 8 days later and is apparently hanging out in Purgatory until enough people pray for his soul.

Watching the Pope’s funeral and hearing the Kyrie is bringing back memories of the time the Bishop came to Nativity to install the new monsignor (the prior one was a pedophile and was “in absentia” after he was removed).

One of hundreds of people abducted by ICE and sold to slavery in El Salvador was a 19 year old with no criminal record in the US or Venezuela and no tattoos of any kind.

My aunt died this morning. She was only 68 and should have had decades more with us. It’s a weird feeling to know that she’s not a phone call away. I can’t call her to talk about Supernatural or to bitch about Trump. No more Christmas cards or Jeremiah the Bullfrog.

How’s this for freaky? I had a dream with my grandmother and step grandfather in it last night, and I just found out that March 29th was the day my step grandfather passes away. I never knew the date of his death.
