Happy new year! My all sky camera imaged the sky every 15 seconds and this picture shows what happened in the sky in 2025. It shows the length of the night and day with the hourglass shape, the monthly lunar cycle with the diagonal bands, the elevation of the Sun at local noon, and lots of clouds.

I'm putting some extra good grass out for the camels tonight because, as they say in my family, if that thing you wanted didn't happen on Christmas, "lo tráen los Reyes! (the Three Kings will bring it!)"

DENGUE?! I didn't even know there WAS a vaccine!!!

I had it when I was 7, and it was one of the most miserable experiences I've ever had. For days, I could barely move my head without being sent into what I could only describe as a full-body migraine. It's called "break bone fever" for a reason.
It’s official: RFK Jr has officially reduced recommended childhood vaccines from 17 to 11, removing universal vaccine recommendations for RSV, hepatitis A, hepatitis B, dengue and two types of bacterial meningitis.

This reckless contravention of science is going to kill people.

In about 45 minutes, I'm gonna clock out, go home, and rip a rotisserie chicken to shreds with my bare hands, and I hope the rest of your day contains the same level of delicious catharsis

I have been warning for years that once insurance companies had a reason to stop denying hormones to trans folks, they’d be coming for the menopausal among us next. We all rise or fall together.
My insurance company just sent me a letter saying they will stop covering two of my prescriptions because they are ‘not medically necessary’. Which ones?
1. My testosterone, because I am not a man
2. My menopause meds for hot flashes because, after all, women should just deal with it.
