Upea pakkaskeli. Merikin savusi, mutta sen kuvaamiseen olisi tarvinnut pidemmän putken. Samoin lintujen. Olin varustautunut kuvaamaan lumisia puita, joten ei ollut pidempää putkea mukana. Minkäs teet.

Uusi vuosi aloitettiin lenkkeilemällä koirien kanssa rauhallisella seudulla (ei onneksi kuulunut mitään jälkipaukkuja). 🐶

Uusi lintulista #100lajia tietysti aloitettu myös. 🦉 (<- viime vuonna en saanut YHTÄÄN pöllöä, pakko olla parempi vuosi tämä.) Kasassa 14/100 lajia, mm. hiirihaukka. #linnut

Tutkimuksessa seurattiin lintujen vierailuja kalanviljelylaitoksilla ja mitattiin niiden aiheuttamaa saalistuspainetta.

Joillain laitoksilla ei vieraillut lainkaan lintuja, ja toisilla linnut söivät satoja kaloja päivittäin. Haittoja voidaan lievittää suojamenetelmillä.

Winter means.. communal roosts! 🦅🐦🦜

But why do birds form such roosts? In red kites, young single males are the most frequent visitors. Once paired, birds roost more solitarily, often together as a pair.
