I was going to ask what fresh hell today would bring, but it got me wondering about the origin of the phrase. I was today years old when I learned that some version of the phrase has been used to mark despair since the 1920s. Fun fact ~ Molly, ed.

When Buddhist monks walking for peace passed through Charlotte, people came out in the cold, brought their kids, and stood together in silence. For a moment, peace wasn’t an idea.
