I wrote 35 pages today and packed for an upcoming flight.
Dreading the long flight…hours over the Pacific.
Even after back and forth travel between three countries my fear of flying still persists 😧
Clenched teeth and white knuckles

These extraordinary photos of the LA fires have been shared widely on social media, often without crediting the photographer.

These are all the work of Ethan Swope, an LA-based photojournalist working for AP.

Oh wow...I've not been this ill in quite some time. I am under the influence of a very, very nasty cold/flu bug.
I was so hoping this was just a really bad allergy attack.  But it hasn't passed.

Wash your hands after reading this note.

dear virus,
i think it’s about time you mosey on out of here. my body is not your home. you are making my days miserable and less productive.
you dropping in unexpectedly is stressing me out.
you’ve also manage to drive away my voice during your stay.

People only care about your successes, not your failures. No one cares how many unproduced scripts or unpublished books you have in your drawer. No one cares that your movie didn't open big or your book didn't make the best sellers list.

Failures are forgotten. Only your successes define you.

The part of your brain that creates is different from the part of your brain that interprets and edits, so when you edit while you write, you knock yourself out of your groove.

Write fearlessly then edit judiciously later, preferably with a break in between to gain perspective on the work.
