oh hey, that’s me, dressed as King Street!

it was great to chat with you, @alyia4alx.com!
Grateful to give the keynote at @betterDCregion Smart Growth Social 2025, celebrating the leaders and advocates shaping a more walkable, transit-friendly region. Had fun joining the Halloween theme dressed as a DASH driver alongside an ALX resident dressed as a King St bike lane!

I love cars so much I wish they were much larger and carried like 50 people and went on a set route every few minutes.

Raise a pint to the Erie Canal, the engineering and infrastructure marvel of its time (and to this day, honestly, because it’s still a beauty!)

In Lockport today, checking out the Seneca Chief, life-size replica of the first boat that made the Erie Canal voyage in 1825.

Things you see when you choose to bike/walk/metro to work!

Love this.
Who's up for some ✨transit-oriented birding✨?

CSG team members @cmkisicki.bsky.social and @cherylcort.bsky.social took Metro and biked to check out a red phalarope this morning before work.

This is only the 5th record of this little shorebird in D.C.!

finally hanging my Steamtown USA souvenir, one of the most iconic pieces of railroad marketing: Chessie The Railroad Kitten

They don’t do ads like this anymore.

I have to agree. This track work has been managed so smoothly. Props to @wmata.com
Great job @wmata.com staff for seamless transfers from Yellow Line to Blue Line at National Airport. (Blue Line isn’t running south of National due to scheduled repairs). Clear instructions & guidance. ⁦‪

metro AC is actually something I look forward to every day I have to commute. it's like a treat

controversial take: @wmata.com blue line AC feels the coldest and the breeziest compared to other lines
Loving the 🥶AC on train this morning. Great job by @wmata.com fleet team doing a new seasonal prep program that is delivering real results. We avg 3 hot cars a day in this high heat (mostly 3Ks), with 1000+ cars in daily service!

If you’re into housing/transit/active mobility, let’s connect.

Also, any recommendations on whom I should follow? Help a girl out. Maybe throw a good starter pack at me.

long-time urbanism lurker, first-time urbanism poster

thrilled and a bit overwhelmed (in a good way) to be joining the team @betterdcregion.bsky.social

catch me fighting for more housing options, better zoning, and walkable communities near you (in the DMV area, that is)

no surprise, but the Lab Leak (la oblique?) episode of @ifbookspod.bsky.social is elite, and it is on their main feed

Mike and Peter did it again, ya all.
