Walmart using The Grinch to commercialize Christmas must have Dr. Seuss rolling in his grave.

It'd be like if BP used The Lorax in their commercials for crying out loud. I mean way to miss the point.

This administration hasn't cared about the rule of law since it took office. The first term was just a trial run. January 6th solidified that rules don't apply to them. They'll scream and yell about the "rule of law" applying to everyone else, but not to them.
Laws aren't real. They exist solely on account of buy-in from society's participants. Once one side disengages, you no longer reside in a society based on laws. You live in a society based on power and armed force. I am begging folks to accept this so we can get moving.
Just legal Calvinball. Obviously lawless.

Running code on the first try is like waking up without hitting snooze. Sounds great in theory, but never happens in practice. And when it does, it's more suspicious than satisfying.

They've broken no laws so why are we wasting taxpayer money on this frivolous exercise?
Breaking: The six Democrats now confirmed they've been contacted by the FBI.

The lawmakers accuse Trump of using the FBI "as a tool to intimidate and harass members of Congress."
MS NOW confirms: The FBI is working with Capitol Police to schedule interviews with the six Democratic lawmakers who urged service members to refuse to comply with illegal orders.

This sounds great in theory, but the details are where it breaks. Many rural areas don't choices for care. You can't shop around when you have one hospital/ER in driving distance.

That $500 aspirin (BS) costs so much bc when in ER they are recovering admin costs too.
who's excited to price shop for emergency medical care?

I don't have words for this....
Imagine escaping the literal Nazis, making it to America, living three quarters of a century there making your life, and then this:
79-year-old Paul Bojerski was born to Polish parents in a WWII German refugee camp. His family legally emigrated to the U.S. when he was 5.

He’s been taken by ICE in Florida.

Release the files
NEW: Epstein survivors release the most powerful PSA I have ever seen.

Make this go viral so every member of the House of Representatives sees it.

I don't buy this. She says this now that the vitriol is directed at her. But if she were back in his good graces I I have a feeling she'd be back to dishing out the same toxic nastiness all over again.
BASH: We have seen these attacks from the president at other people. It's not new. And I haven't heard you speak out about it until it was directed at you.

MARJORIE TAYLOR GREENE: I think that's fair criticism. And I would like to say, humbly, I'm sorry for taking part in the toxic politics.

I've tried making a similar point to my reps, they don't seem to care.
Massie: "I would remind my Republican colleagues who are decided how to vote, Donald Trump can protect you in red districts right now by giving you an endorsement, but by 2030, he's not gonna be the president and you will have voted to protect pedophiles if you don't vote to release those files."

Thank you
If a man said what Megyn Kelly said, you would assume he was a trafficker.

This young lady is wise beyond her years, but she is still a “child”and she would like a word…

"barely legal"? 15 is not "barely legal"!! Lusting after 15 year olds makes you a pedophile. Period. End of story.

Unless you happen to be a 15/16 year old boy then lusting after a 15 year old girl makes you a pedophile, always.

Identify the people in the files and put them in prison.
Megyn Kelly: "I know somebody very close to this case…Jeffrey Epstein, in this person's view, was not a pedophile…He was into the barely legal type, like he liked 15 year old girls…He wasn't into like 8 year olds…There's a difference between a 15 year old and a 5 year old."

With the Dems caving like this it feels as though the shutdown took 43 days for absolutely nothing. I'm pretty sure the Republicans offered them a "vote" on the subsidies several times. I'm not sure what they actually got out of this. Meanwhile people suffered.

They weren't being paid. They may have had issues putting gas in the car to get to work, or maybe they were struggling paying for daycare or any number of other things that come from not getting a paycheck yet having to show up in one of the most stressful jobs that exists. GFY.
Sean Duffy threatens "action" against air traffic controllers who didn't come to work during the shutdown: "I'm concerned about their patriotism."

We need the healthy people paying into the system to drive down the costs and cover the expenses for the sicker people. It's how insurance works.

This is also a perfect argument for why we need Universal Healthcare.
Tell me you don’t understand risk pools without telling me you don’t understand risk pools
November 11, 2025 at 12:18 AM
You're not. Just because the Senate agrees to hold a vote for you doesn't mean anything. The House 'might' give you a vote, but they can easily kill the bill.

By caving on the CR you gave up your only leverage. Way to screw over the people who depend on the subsidies.
King: So I believe that we are closer tonight to a vote on the ACA tax credits than we were this morning. This agreement tonight is a win for the American people.

20 days in session over the last 5 months! How is this anything but taxation without representation?
The House will be out again next week. That's 20 work days in 19 weeks.

I fear the government will be shutdown thru Thanksgiving. It'll be real hard for Federal Workers to have a Thanksgiving when they haven't been paid since mid October.
And there it is…..

Announcement is made that the U.S. House will be out of session AGAIN next week

Two full months since their most recent vote
