Most playtesters experienced "The Web of Forgotten Flesh" and "The Flower Wars", 2 out of the 3 scenarios included with the corebook of #KOKOTÖNA, yet only playtest group 59 went through "Blood of a Thousand Suns" #TTRPG #MÖRKBORG
BLOOD OF A THOUSAND SUNS VEILED BY THE MISTS OF TEKUATEPEK, between the peaks of the ancestral pines, a father’s failure lingers. The chief of Ixma-matek mourns a wife and, in his grief, has lost sight of his most precious treasure. The Golden Hummingbird is gone, stolen—a petty crime he believes, a simple task for passing mercenaries. The elder offers riches and allegiance in exchange for this trinket, promising a straightforward recovery from opportunistic bandits skulking in the high passes. But in the village, sidelong glances and hushed words tell a different story—this is not the first time the sacred icon has vanished from its shrine, and its disappearances always coincide with the chief’s retreat from his duties. His bitter, prejudiced certainty leads down a path where every sign is a shroud disguising a far older treason. To take his deal is to discover a darker, more terrible truth, humming beneath the soil and echoing from the lightless, cavernous underworld: Some people are united not by love, but by the flaying knife and the shared song of suffering. Flesh-bearer, you are being drawn toward a chthonic wound, festering beneath the world. Here the abandoned and the pale practice their blasphemies under the watchful gaze of a forgotten god, the newest vessel for a hunger as old as the stars above and below. Will you reclaim the old man’s treasure? Or will your bones be laid upon the altar, and your final breath become the next verse in an eternal, sunless hymn?
