Weirdly satisfying when you recognize people walking into the polls to vote, when 2 days ago you canvassed them and they SWORE they ALREADY VOTED EARLY and to STOP BOTHERING THEM and YOU'RE WASTING YOUR TIME. Ummm no, you lied, and now you're here voting on Election Day, I WIN.

Shout-out to the wonderful folks @alexandriaanimals.bsky.social @alexandriavagov.bsky.social for sending an animal control officer out quickly to a neighbor who discovered mama and kittens in her yard! Kittens are old enough to be adopted and it's gonna be HARD not to get a couple for myself.

Recently traveled with a friend (so 2 moms, 2 toddlers total), and can't stop thinking about how she thanked me for the mental work of planning the grocery list.
I love traveling with my family but DAMN I really need another mom on every trip from here on out.

When I told my 3 year old he needed to eat a piece of fruit before he could watch TV, I figured we would finally make some progress on fiber intake.
But no, he just hasn't watched TV for 7 days (and counting), and is completely fine with his decision.
