I love when supernatural slips in things that are profound. Like “so having a soul means suffering?” In an episode about fairies. Amazing.

It has become significantly harder (emotionally) to wake up to NPR news again.

These are very good suggestions, but a few key ones are missing: attend library board mtgs and speak in favor (many are on zoom), donate $, and vote for measures and bonds to increase funding. Patrons have real power. Don't let a handful of bigots destroy your library.
One thing before tomorrow:

Use your local libraries.

Get your card.

Borrow books, manga, films, audios, ebooks.

Recommend titles for purchase (usually online).

Attend promoted activities.

Fill out those "How are we doing?" questionnaires.

Tell your kids that libraries are good.

They are.

“There’s one good thing about the TikTok ban. It means I’ll have more time to write my novel,” she said while instead scrolling Bluesky.

Just a reminder of some of the context around the TikTok ban: In 2020, Trump tried to ban it via executive order a couple months after K-pop fans used it to organize fake signups to Trump’s Tulsa rally, which led him to publicly overestimate how large the crowd size would be.

When playing D&D, I’m always like “oh what is ‘difficult terrain’ I wouldn’t go *that* much slower.” And then I try to traverse a slightly rocky parking lot in 1/2 inch heels and I get it…

Ok but hear me out: Conclave as a high school drama. It’s a popularity contest. They’re all wearing uniforms. There’s gossip and *drama* and it’s all to elect the next student body president.

I honestly don’t know who’s gonna be my top listened to artist on Spotify this year. It’s probably Taylor swift again but charli xcx is gonna be in the running for sure.

After watching Saturday Night, Will decided we should watch the first SNL episode. It’s even more fun when someone keeps saying “oh, this person is dead now.”
