We have just published a dyrosaurid crocodile from the Maastrictian of Angola. Despite the fragmentary remains, they provide interesting phylogenetic information. Thanks to Arthur Maréchal for his great work!

For this #FossilFriday, I thought l'd share this photo of a Redondasaurus skeleton on display at the New Mexico Museum of Natural History & Science. While it looks like a #crocodile, it’s actually an ancient relative of theirs from the #Triassic - a #phytosaur.

Todavía recuerdo aquella noche de sesión golfa de 1993, viendo Parque Jurásico en el cine con 8 añitos. Me marcó tanto que probablemente influenció en que me hiciera paleontólogo. Para mí esa saga murió en los 90, todo lo que vino después es un subproducto vacío y de mal gusto, casi un insulto.
