Been on a pretty non-stop run of seeing some absolutely brilliant plays in 2024, but sadly the final theatre trip of the year wasn’t in the same class.

Just brilliant.

Massive week in the context of this festive season. Three Christmas parties, with Paul Heaton on Wednesday and rounded off with Blues on Saturday. Lots of rotation required.

Result and performance thankfully miles better than the traffic and the weather

Normally pray for a big London club away in the FA Cup third round, but would like an exciting home tie for once, Spurs, Man Utd, West Ham maybe. Would spare us all boring chat about allocations for a few weeks too.

I got to read my niece a bedtime story for the first time tonight. Bizarrely, I sobbed my way through the entirety of The Tiger Who Came To Tea. Not sure I’ll be getting the call to do Jackanory/CBeebies any time soon.

Excellent production of A Christmas Carol with John Simm, despite the glaring lack of Muppets. Missed a trick not casting Gene Hunt as Ghost of Christmas Past though #FireUpTheQuattro
