1/3 A nom de guerra is an assumed name that someone goes under when engaged in combat. We are in a cultural war, soon to be an economic war, and hopefully, it will go no further. Edith Cavell was a WW1 British Nurse, executed by the Nazis (with the soul of a Canadian), she is my totem.
I have not posted in awhile. Again Canuck living in the US. Our family has intent to return to Canada. It was based upon the outcome of the midterms and any impacts from this. Daily I’m reminded that may not work. To those with any sense of history, it’s now scary

Post election I’ve actually noticed increased rhetoric against many groups. Leading with LGBTQ and mainly trans persons. Canucks be vigilant against the propaganda and the rights wish to demonize these groups. If u want to tackle child abuse go after those in power like politicians and clergy

Our family goal this year is to define a path to return to Canada. We love many parts of Canada but am looking for some ideas on where to plant ourselves with 2 HS teenagers but where can easily transition into semi retirement. Thoughts?

Being a Canuck living in the US I didn’t know much about former President Carter. After reading more about him though and although I consider myself almost atheist, I would be surprised if he rose from the dead in 3 days. The MAGA who portray Trump as the new savior may have some explaining to do

I have a side gig where I interact with quite a few customers and that interaction time is long enough for a conversation if they want. I’m devastated at how bleak people in my part of the US are right now. It’s heart breaking. But I can’t help them. Canucks learn from their recent mistakes

So to accept a request to be made a province, you need 7 of the 10 provincial legislatures to approve and that also has to equal at least 50% of the citizenship. I think we start with Puerto Rico, which has a nice warmer climate. Not a state so they are not secceeding A good "soft" approach
