I like to make bits of ephemera to go with my found object sculptures. This "vintage" ray gun came with a parts list/order form.
A somewhat creased and worn sheet of paper that appears to be a parts list for a ray gun circa 1940's from Ecktrol Manufacturing in Van Wert, Ohio. There is an exploded drawing of the ray gun with the various parts labeled with reference numbers. For example, part not 6 is the "induction in-take port", and part 18 is the "ion down-shift stabilizer". There are also warnings about not attempting to open the induction chamber, and not to used the power cell if it is expired or damaged. The label for a small cylindrical part on the ray gun that is apparently the power cell. Along with the Ecktrol logo there is a prominent radiation hazard symbol, the Ecktrol address, and a space for a stamped expiration date, in this case it's July 18, 1964. This is my attempt to recreate the ray gun in Blender 3D. This is a photo of the actual ray gun on a wooden stand. The wood was reclaimed from an old box spring

“Zenit 0-LR6” found object sculpture for PreShrunk2025 at Argle Fine Art opening Jan 24
A chrome metal device on a 4”x5” wooden base. It has a small toggle switch that controls a light that is sent along a fibre optic tube to a small glass lens at the front. The purpose of the device is not obvious, but there is an accompanying sheet of very old paper that appears to have instructions for the device in Russian.
