Much like 2024, Democrats seem to think there’s a binary choice in the 2026 election between voting for Republicans (evil) and voting for Democrats (feckless).

They rarely acknowledge the third option which inevitably harms them the most: staying home.

Bills lost, Steelers lost, Dems sucked a fuck.

Not my day.

Donald Trump’s approval rating has tanked and Republican suffered heavy losses in last week’s elections. There’s never been a better time for Senate Democrats to cave on the ACA extension.

I spent all day (7am until 5pm) studying and practicing on the firegrounds for my Proboard exam in two weeks. I don't begrudge it, learned a ton, and left exhausted. Shortly after I got home, we had a residential fire that kept me out until 1am. Got home and "it's too late for fun" but sat down....

Ms. Rachel is a national treasure and I'm so happy she exists.
The Meaning of Ms. Rachel
She redefined children’s media—and built her empire—by centering empathy. Now she’s channeling that same ethos into activism.

Been following Lily Allen for ages and she is always brutally honest with celebrity, sex, relationships, etc. I hope she gets back into creation again soon.

The 9/10 issue democrat voter is waffling, thankfully the republican candidate will get 100% of the R vote.
vote blue no matter who though, right, everyone?
Schumer won’t say he’ll vote for the Democratic candidate — primary was 124 days ago

100% this, I've been working with the local pantry in Dormont for years and money is 100% more useful than random semi-expired stuff. They can leverage the buying power of cash to buy entire pallets at massive discounts (think ~.15 cents a box for mac & cheese) from food bank sources.
Did my intake to commence volunteering at a local food pantry this afternoon and let me tell you, after just half an hour of basic description of operations I now thoroughly get why they stress "please just give money, don't buy random food at retail and bring it in" over and over and over.

It's worse than ever finding a job via recruiting sites. They are just completely laden with AI doing absolute crap identifying the right candidates and employers don't care enough. If you don't know someone directly, you are expected to apply for 100+ jobs a week just to get even a bite.

Democrat voters: "I agree with you on 9 of your 10 policies but dislike this one so I will vote independent or not vote at all."

Republican voters: "I know you are 100lbs of leeches bundled in a suit and you have no policies but I will vote for you because you are Republican."

I don't post about it often because I was raised to volunteer and not expect applause but I've been working with the Dormant Free Pantry for years and Im also a firefighter (why is this important?). The station is right across the street from the pantry and we let them park in our lot during distro-

E g. The food bank here in San Diego buys bulk quantities of rice for a fraction of supermarket costs and re-packages it themselves in consumer-sized packages for distribution. Your money there goes much, much further than an in-kind donation. (In kind donations and volunteering are still good tho!)
Hi just so I'm clear.

I wrote "donate to food banks" and do "food runs for mutual aid" because they are different things!

Food banks want your money! they can do more with your money than with stuff.

Mutual aid groups often want stuff! Mine has a food fridge!
Now is a really good time to donate to food banks, and do food runs for mutual aid groups. Also, do menstrual product runs.
